Favorite product

My personal favorites are the White Owl Chocolate Vanilla Swirl & White Grape Cigarillos, which I am thankful to get to enjoy while working.

Favorite way to interact with the community?

Before the Covid 19 pandemic, I enjoyed interacting with the Community while taking tickets and/or ushering attendees to their seats at the Civic Center Little Theater and the Clay Center for the Charleston Light Opera Guild’s live performances of musicals. At present, I enjoy interacting with the many different customers who come into the store for our various products, and helping them find what they want - or seeing their car pull in and having their product on the counter, waiting for them to walk in.

When did you start working at Smoker Friendly and what is your favorite part of the job?

I started working at Smoker Friendly as a Cashier/Clerk at Store #16 / Dunbar in January 2018, and was then promoted to Manager here in Kanawha City in April 2018. My favorite part of the job is TRUCK DAY! I love checking in, stocking and organizing the delivered items.

Tell me something special about your store.

Something special about this store is that it has a drive-thru, which can get a little crazy sometimes as you bounce back & forth between that and the in-store customers, but is great for customers who have children (who cannot come inside due to age), as well as for those who have mobility issues.

I also do some decorating for Christmas and Halloween.

Tell me some of the things that make you, you!

I was born and raised in Lewisburg, WV, and am the oldest of 3 (by 2 & 4 years). I love spending time with my family, and especially hanging out with my sister’s almost 8 year old twin girls, and my brother’s 9 year old daughter. I also enjoy stopping by Chili’s daily on my way home from work to unwind, where I enjoy some bourbon, brews, and games on my Chromebook, while listening to music and chatting with employees.
